昨晚 Apple 發佈會提到香港成為首批開售 iPhone 5 的地區，然而我們未知道的是究竟何時會進行預售。今期，Apple 香港的網站只是說「即將於網上開始預購。」沒有說何時。不過，又說「將於 Apple Retail Store 發售 9 月 21 日起發售。」站長查看 Apple 的新聞稿，美國版本已指出 9 月 14 日開始進行預購，香港是其中一個地區。
iPhone 5 will be available in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and the UK on Friday, September 21, and customers can pre-order their iPhone 5 beginning Friday, September 14.
但香港的新聞稿卻沒有這一句，只是指「自 9 月 21 日起，iPhone 5 還將在美國、澳洲、加拿大、法國、德國、香港、日本、新加坡及英國正式上市」。

方法 2：預約到 Apple Store 購買
預約到 Apple Store 購買的方法已在網頁公佈，9 月 20 日起可於網上申請預訂，最早可於 9 月 21 日上午 8 時在 Apple Retail Store 店內提取。
